European Project Humanist


The key issue of HUMANIST Network of Excellence ((HUMAN centred design for Information Society Technologies is to promote Human centred design for IVIS and ADAS to conceive them according to drivers’ needs and requirements in order to ensure their acceptability and to improve road safety.
The project gathers 23 European partners from 15 countries.
The project started in 2004 and finished in 2008.

European Project ACESS2ALL

ACCESS 2 ALL aims at defining concrete mobility schemes, guidelines and policy recommendations, ensuring accessibility of Public Transport to ALL users, through the coordination of current research efforts, the production of common research roadmaps, the identification of best practice models and the appropriate use of ICT aids and networks.
ACCESS 2 ALL is a consortium of 8 partners from 6 countries: Germany, France, Greece, Portugal, Romania and Sweden.
The project started in December 2008 and will finished in 2010 (24 months).

European Project INTERACTION

The main objective of INTERACTION project is understanding driver interactions with In-Vehicle Technologies.
The project gathers 10 European partners from 8 countries (Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Holland,
Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom) and 2 Australian institutes.
The project started in November 2008 and will finish in 2012 (48 months).

European Project ADAPTATION

The objective of ADAPTATION (Program Marie-Curie) is to improve the career perspectives of young researchers by
taking part in an innovative European research programme aiming at investigating drivers’ behavioural adaptation
and its underlying processes over the time in response to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) use.
The project gathers 10 European partners from 7 countries (France, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, United
Kingdom, Portugal and Sweden).

Under this project, and the rules of the Marie Curie Program, will be integrated PhD students, earning scholarships.
This project, within the agreement of "Initial Training Networks", aims to contribute to the development of the ERA(European Research Area) and increase competitiveness at the level of EU countries. In this context, the ISEC will
receive an Italian PhD student, which will develop the project "The mental representation that drivers are the
functions of ADAS and its influence on behavior." At the same time and under the same project, an associate
professor of ISEC, of the group of Ergonomics and Human Factors, was selected to carry out a Post-Doctorate at
the Technical University of Chemnitz (Germany).
 
The project started in January 2010 and will finish in 2014 (48 months).
