GCDF Certification - A Mark of Quality
The Career Development Facilitator project was initiated in 1997 by the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE), the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and the National Occupational Information Coordinating Committee (NOICC). CCE has gone on to develop the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), offering country-specific standardization and recognition to career development professionals worldwide.

The GCDF Career Consultant
The Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) started in 1997 as a joint initiative the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE), National Career Development Association and National Occupational Information Coordinating Committee. Since then, the GCDF program has grown and matured, now offering customization for different nations' characteristics, according to country-specific needs. Currently, GCDF exists in Romania, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Germany, Greece, Japan, Macedonia, New Zealand, Romania, South Korea, Turkey and the United States. Now it is in Portugal.

The GCDF program in Portugal is developed as a result of the collaboration between the European Board of Certified Counselors and ISEC. GCDF Portugal is administered by Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências (ISEC) and is in the process of being implemented.
